Twin girls new bedroom

When we moved to our new house a couple of months ago we decided that it was time to put our twin girls into twin beds.  It was very cute to find them snuggled up together in one toddler bed (even though every night they would start out in their own beds), they were 2 1/2 years old and it was time...
but I was going to miss this:
They look so cute and cramped in that little bed.  Time for a change.  When we moved into the house their room had dark blue walls on the bottom and light blue on top.  Here is the before picture:

I really wish that I had a few better before pictures, I will try to get better at that.
And here is the after:

When I found the bedding on Amazon HERE I knew that it would be perfect and I was right.  I wanted their room to be bright and fun.

Of course my favorite parts about this room are the DIY parts, like the clippe and bow holder I made (remember THIS post), or the adorable aqua vanity that I made over and posted about HERE

and the mirror and silhouette post from HERE

You might also notice that on each side of the curtains there is a little fabric canvas art that I made with some left over fabric.  Here is a close up:

I was inspired when I found This post on pinterest
It was very easy to make, I just cut out the fabric scraps into different sizes and had my four year old arrange them on the canvas then just adhere with mod podge.  I then added a small amount of glitter to a little mod podge and added one coat on top to add a little sparkle.

Oh and before I forget, just to let you all know, the girls STILL love to crawl into each other beds and go to sleep, they are getting so big, glad that they have a little more room now.

* Keeping it real:  Not all craft projects turn out perfect.  Why did I have so much scrap fabric in those bright colors?  Well...I purchased some for the clippie project and then I thought I would try to make them a rug for their room.  What started off looking like an normal fabric flower (the kind that you put on a clip or headband) grew and grew.  I was attaching it to a rug loop base.  I did several layers which took a long time and finally I was done.  I cut off the remaining base and packed it away until the move.  When the room was complete I put the rug down right between the girls beds, take a look...
Pretty cute right?
Oh, wait a second let me zoom out a little:

I think it MIGHT be a little small, LOL!!  Oh well, I will come up for a use for it somewhere!  Any suggestions?
